From joining us in July 2016 as a trailblazing Apprentice, George has proved himself to be an exceptional student with a remarkable drive and motivation. 

With an outstanding aptitude in both classroom and production skills, he has excelled in the training and opportunities Dalehead, Spalding has provided him with. George has let nothing stand in his way as he has completed his level 2 Apprenticeship in Meat and Poultry and ILM Level 2, gained his WATOK Slaughter license, completed Animal Welfare and B Grade training and has begun working towards his level 3 ILM! Not only that, but since completing his Apprenticeship he has been promoted to Lairage Coordinator and, more recently Step Up team leader.

Despite his time with us so far only being short, he has surpassed many who train for years, developing high grade skills and knives and livestock, and competency in many roles within the department. With a promising future laid out ahead of him- why not consider following in George's footsteps?

Since joining Dalehead in 1985, Steve has spent an incredible 33 years perfecting skills and gaining the experience that has made him a remarkable and exemplary figure for those determined to build their way through the ranks of a rewarding and promising career.

Starting out as a Lairage Operative, he then became a cleaner in the Abattoir itself before gaining qualifications to become a Slaughterman. 

Having made a name for himself in the business, he has progressed as a Team Leader and then a Supervisor before earning the position of Abattoir manager- a real success story!
